August Capital

This small, dynamic venture-capital firm in Silicon Valley needed a marketing brochure that reflected both innovation and reliability. After an in-depth exploration of themes, we developed content around the concept of “vision.” All subheds—“The Big Picture,” “Exploring Opportunities,” “Envisioning Success,” “Seeing Is Believing”—relate to the theme while introducing specific content. Wordworking also created the tagline—“Investing in and helping build the significant information technology companies of tomorrow”—and researched quotations for the end page. The James Thurber quote that was selected, “It is better to know some of the questions than to know all of the answers,” perfectly expressed August Capital's appreciation of the special demands of the IT industry.
